Liat 1974 Ltd, will be back in the skies this afternoon, as the carrier is scheduled to leave on a flight to Dominica at 4 p.m., with ten passengers after a seven month absence.
The flight will be under the command of Captain Elvis Roberts and he will be ably assisted by Captain Donnie Emanuel, both of Antigua and Barbuda.
On arrival in Dominica, the flight will be met by that country’s Minister of Aviation, Denise Charles and a team from her ministry.
The flight on it’s return to Antigua at around 5:45 p.m. ,will be given a water salute and will be met by a team headed by Antigua and Barbuda’s Minister of Aviation and Public Utilities, Sir Robin Yearwood and a team of local officials.
The carrier will begin scheduled flights from from the 8th of November, to Barbados, Grenada, St Kitts Nevis, Dominica, St Vincent and the Grenadines,St Lucia, the USVI,St Marten and Puerto Rico.
In the interim, the carrier will operate five days a week.
