“Someone knows what happened.” Those were the words of Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley, as he called on those who murdered his friends John Mills and Eulyn John to come forward. Dr Rowley said this is a period of unspeakable grief and national trauma, as we have become a society filled with hatred and violence.

The Prime Minister spoke yesterday in Tobago during the funeral service of the murdered Tobago couple. The farewell service was held at the Montgomery Moravian Church in Bethel.

“Somewhere in Tobago somebody knows what happened here and all I can say to all of you is that if you do not tell us and you keep that secret, you didn’t just put the knife in our back but you are turning it,” Dr Rowley said.

Wednesday marked the farewell service for 69-year-old Mills and 61-year-old John. Both were found bound and gagged at their Cocorico Avenue, Buccoo New Road, home, on May 2. Autopsy results revealed both had been strangled, but Mills was also stabbed about the body.
