Keone’s meltdown blamed on failed business deal

HUNDREDS of thousands of dollars in losses as a consequence of a failed business investment earlier this year drove Keone Paryag, the boyfriend of Danah Alleyne, into a state of depression.

That state of depression may have triggered his actions on Friday evening that cost him his life, Alleyne’s brother, Ian Alleyne, said yesterday.

Paryag, 34, bled to death at the Chaguanas Health Facility after he was shot in the leg by police as he held Danah Alleyne hostage at an apartment in Chaguanas.

Yesterday, her brother Ian, who hosts the CrimeWatch programme and who was on the scene when the incident took place, told the Sunday Express that for all the years he knew Paryag, not once had he exhibited any violent tendencies.
