Govt getting Forensic centre in order

The Forensic Sciences Centre is struggling but Government is making moves to bring it up to full capacity, said Attorney General Dale Marshall.

In a recent interview, Marshall admitted the vital institution was not operating at its full potential.

“The centre represents a huge investment by Government in dealing with, not just the needs of law enforcement, but also the needs of society in relation to testing and so on. Unfortunately, it is an investment that has not realised the best of dividends for us and it has been fraught with difficulties in terms of environmental challenges and so on,” he said.

To rectify this, the attorney general said they had begun the process to address the deficiencies.
