Erica Edwards Resigns From the DNA

The Democratic National Alliance (DNA) has announced that colleague Erica Edwards, the DNA’s spokesperson for Social Transformation and Gender Affairs and former candidate in the St. John’s Rural South constituency, has informed the party’s General Secretary in a letter dated June 20th, 2019 of her resignation of her “role as candidate…and as a member of the [DNA] with immediate effect.”

She stated that her efforts to advocate for changes within her community and country would “be better spent working outside of the limitations of partisan politics…”

The DNA said it will continue to champion the principles of Transformational Leadership, Good Governance, Accountability and Transparency in public life and remains committed to our motto, Prosperity For All.

The statement from the party said it wishes Erica Edwards well in her future endeavours.
