Director of education Clare Brown is expected to meet with the cabinet today to offer a recommendation for the resumption of face to face learning. This following a series of meetings with the administrators of both public and private schools, the local teachers union and many others. Talks with the Ministry of Education officials ended on Tuesday. Those involved in the sector were given the opportunity to share their thoughts on the education system.
They were asked to consider whether it would be wise for schools to return to face to face learning with all students vaccinated and unvaccinated. Whether only vaccinated students and those under 12 years of age should return to classrooms or whether remote learning should continue. A report with the recommendation will be presented to the cabinet this morning
