The return to the physical classroom for grade 6 students and those in 4th and 5th form was smooth without any major hiccups. Director of Education, Clare Brown, says for the most part the transition was successful.
Both vaccinated and unvaccinated students were welcome back to the classroom. Government officials say this measure is due to the shortage of the Pfizer shot which is approved for children 12 years and older. There is however concern about the shortage of teachers, some of which have not been inoculated. Brown is hopeful a recent batch of trained substitute educators will assist in filling the void.
The Director of Education also expressed optimism that children who have not yet taken the Pfizer shot will do so when more doses become available.
