Deal with rogue police officers, says Moonilal

AS he slammed the raid on the home of the housekeeper of former attorney general Anand Ramlogan, Oropouche East MP Dr Roodal Moonilal is calling for an investigation by the Police Complaints Authority and the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service’s (TTPS) Professional Standards Bureau into the circumstances surrounding the search and the allegations that police officers hurled insults at housekeepeer Goomatee Ragbir.

Moonilal said when he called Police Commissioner Gary Griffith around 9 a.m. yesterday, Griffith was “unaware of the situation”.

Furthermore, Griffith indicated to him that Senior Supt Zamsheed Mohammed, who is in charge of the TTPS Southern Division, was also not aware of the situation.
