‘Coast Guard could have saved all 6’

The families of four Central men say if the Coast Guard had searched the waters off Carli Bay, Couva, on Sunday all six involved in a sea tragedy could have returned to shore alive.

Instead, two died and four men were lost when their boat overturned while at sea.

Of the four, two survived and swam back to shore.

The bodies of Ronald Narinesingh, 36, of Calcutta Settlement, Freeport, and Chunilal Gyandass, 53, of Beaucarro Road, Freeport, were found at sea yesterday morning.

Missing last night were Gyandass’ brother, Sieunarine Gyandass, 51, and 25-year-old Vedesh Marlo.
