Central Board of Health Mount Independence Activity

Central Board of Health was transformed into scenes from the past as management and staff went back in time for Independence with their “Ole Tyme Sumting” Independence theme.
The CBH yard had displays of many artifacts from yesteryear such as coal pots, can cups, oil lamps, wattle and daub huts, sugar canes, coal kilns, calabash, coal pot hair combs, tensil and poe, kettles, yabba pots, grass beds, old irons, enamel bowls and plates, warri boards and a whole lot more.
But the highlight of the day’s activities was the funji cooking competition which was won by public health inspector Janella Williams with second place going to the vector control unit while third place went to the workers at the sanitation departmen
