CBH Workers Enjoy A Day Of Fun And Fellowship

It was a day of fun and fellowship for the staff of the Central Board of Health (CBH) who proved on Thursday that you can have a funfilled time while on the job…. Dozens of staff turned out to the Dredgers Play-field for the sports day event which forms part of the annual Mosquito Awareness Week…. They were grouped in four houses, namely Red House, Yellow House, Grey and Green House as they vied for title honors in soft ball cricket, Draughts , Warri, Lime and Spoon and Tug of War…. In the four lime and spoon contests, Red House took the trophy by winning three of the races over green house who captured one event.. In the tug of war, the winner was Grey House who beat Yellow house in the grand finale. Grey House also took the soft ball top spot while John Lapps was too good for Trevor Cranston on the Warri Board. However Cranston went back to school and when returned with a bang to put a spanking on Lapps in the Draughts competition…… Another highlight of the program was an award section which saw dozens of longstanding workers who have served between twenty and thirty seven years receiving gifts and certificates…. The annual week of activities will climax on Friday with a grand leaflet and flyer distribution at all the major supermarkets on the island…. The water for the sports day was sponsored by Paradiso Water…..
