Cabinet Turns Down Pan Assication Request for $100,000

The Cabinet was informed that the Pan Association submitted a letter demanding payment of $100,000 to it almost immediately, and to guarantee arrangements that will allow bands to play on a stage with no rooftops on the night of the competition. According to the recent cabinet notes, while the Cabinet agrees that arrangements can be made to allow the bands to play without rooftops, the delivery of $100,000 cannot be achieved. According to the Cabinet, the demand for that large sum of money, the Cabinet concluded, is excessive and clearly is beyond the Festivals Commission’s ability to provide. The Cabinet therefore refused one of the Pan Association’s demand.
