In an emotional presentation in the House of Assembly on Tuesday, where she came close to tears, Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for St Michael South-East Santia Bradshaw has called for accountability following the death of teenager Kyriq Boyce who fell into a 100-foot well.
“I speak with a certain passion today and I am hurting deeply . . . I am deeply concerned that a sense of urgency must now take place within the National Housing Corporation (NHC) that has never been seen before, because it is not just about wells.
“I have had to come within the last several days, back to a family that lost their child through a tragedy,” Bradshaw said.
Boyce, 18, met his death after walking across a well at Martin Road, St Michael last Thursday.
