SATURDAY’S PROTEST against Government’s endorsement of same-sex civil unions was not just about the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community.
So said Opposition Leader Bishop Joseph Atherley, who stressed it was important to speak out against Government’s assertion of power.
He was among scores of Christians who turned out for the second protest rally organised by Family-Faith-Freedom Barbados. It began at Charles Rowe Bridge, St George, and moved to the Glebe playing field, with protesters singing songs and showing placards such as Same Sex Unions – Not Bout Here.
The first was held in Holetown, St James the previous weekend.
