All systems go for 11-Plus

All systems are in place for today’s Barbados Secondary School Entrance Examination (BSSE).

Additional rules and guidelines have been put in place for the 3 544 students (1 804 girls 1 740 boys) sitting the exam, commonly called the Common Entrance Examination of the 11-Plus.

That is because the COVID-19 pandemic has forced officials from the Ministry of Education to issue protocols to facilitate the annual exam.

Yesterday, Minister of Education Santia Bradshaw said she was confident the students would be entering a safe and comfortable environment to do the exam, which is normally held in May
