Airport Strike Called off

The airport strike by workers at the V.Bird international airport has been called off and the workers have started to return back to their jobs.

This has been stated by the country’s Minister of Aviation Robin Yearwood following his meeting with the Board of the airport Authority and the Antigua and Barbuda Workers Union.

He also annoounced that that airport manager Mr Stanley Smith has resigned immediately.

There was no mention concerning the HR manager who along with Stanley Smith were suspended by the board of the airport authority.

The workers took industrial action following the suspension of the Ceo of the Airport Authority along with the Head of the HR department after it was rumored that they had leaked a report from a HR consultant on benefits for the airport workers.
