ACB Says It Will Reopen Barbuda Office In June

The Antigua Commercial Bank (ACB)  will be restoring onsite services at the original Barbuda Agency location by June 2019, almost two years after hurricane Irma.

The bank says commencement of restoration works on the building will start in April; and the estimated time of completion is eight weeks.

General Manager of ACB, Ms. Joanna Charles is quoted as stating, “Our Bank remains fully committed to providing banking services to our loyal customers in Barbuda. We sincerely apologise for the delay in reopening the Agency; however it was necessary that we took time to re-think our strategy to ensure that reopening will be mutually beneficial to all stakeholders. It was also necessary to ensure that the services such as telephone and internet that support banking today, were stable and reliable.

“Once the restoration and the ancillary works are completed, we will commence a limited service in the first instance,” Charles notes.  In the meantime ACB encourages customers to take full advantage of all automated and convenient services being offered through the digital channels.
