19 New Cases In Antigua And Barbuda

The most recent reports received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Mount St. John’s Medical Centre (MSJMC) and the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) have revealed twenty-five (25) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Thursday 25th February 2021 at 6pm.
Subsequent to the publication of the dashboard for Thursday 25th February 2021 with the cut off time of 6pm, one hundred and ninety-six (196) additional samples were processed at MSJMC increasing the pending results from one hundred and sixty-two (162) to three hundred and fifty-eight (358) in total.
Of the two hundred and twenty-seven (227) samples processed by MSJMC, one hundred and seventy-eight (178) were negative and forty-nine (49) positive.  Thirty-seven (37) of these positive cases were repeat tests. 
Of the one hundred and twenty-one (121) samples sent to CARPHA, one hundred and six (106) were negative and fifteen (15) positive.  Two (2) of these positive cases were repeat tests. 
Of the twenty-five (25) positive cases, twenty-three (23) were non-imported and two (2) imported. 
Meanwhile, twenty (20) recoveries have been recorded bringing the total to two hundred and ninety-one (291). One hundred and forty-four (144) samples are pending.
Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is seven hundred and twenty-six (726); which is inclusive of four hundred and twenty-one (421) active cases. 
The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.
