Three Government agencies are collaborating to teach Road Safety Education in Secondary schools.
It is part of an education and awareness campaign to be rolled out shortly.
Community Liaison officer in the project Implementation Management Unit of the Ministry of Works Anne Harewood George, says the campaign will be a collaborative effort between the polce, the transport board and the project implementation management unit.
“in the upcoming months,we plan to launch an education and awareness campaign that focuses on road safety,” harewood george said.
According to the Liaison officer,the three agencies will start going into secondary schools targeting students from third form and up
The Liaison officer added that young people are also road users and they need to know how to use the roads.
