RBPF receives COVID-19 supplies

The Royal Barbados Police Force has expressed gratitude for assistance in protecting its members during the period of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

A media statement on Thursday said: “The Royal Barbados Police Force [PBPF] wishes to inform that since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and the introduction of the Emergency Management (COVID-19) Order 2020, the Force has been prepared to carry out its operations and to be of full service to the public, whilst seeking to protect the health of its members.”

It said the RBPF has received support from the Office of the Attorney General, concerned citizens and business places, inclusive of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), given the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Supplies provided to the police force include: hand sanitiser, face masks, men’s isolation suits, women’s isolation suits, gloves, HAZMAT suits, disinfectant, toiletries, bottled water, disinfectant wipes, alcohol, face shields, surgical masks, Powerade and snacks.
