The Former Chief Executive Officer of the Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority says the downing of tools by airport employees recently are a testimony to the fact that he enjoyed a good relationship with the staff.
Mr Stanley Smith said on radio, he was committed to his job despite a health scare at one point.
The Former CEO said that he came here, because one of the requirements of the Credit Suisse loan was for the airport to have a competent CEO and CFO.
The staff At the airport walked off the job last week upon hearing that the former CEO resigned from the job hours after he was handed a letter of suspension.
Smith said he held the staff at the airport in high regard and that is why many of them had walked off the job.
He admitted that the prospect for another job is on the line.
