Barbados Passes Latest IMF Review

Barbados continues to make good progress in implementing its ambitious and comprehensive economic reform program

That’s according to Deputy Division Chief of the Caribbean II Division of the International Monetary Fund Bert van Selm who led a team to Barbados from May 7 to 17 to review the island’s performance under the Extended Fund Facility.

He delivered his report at a press conference at Government Headquarters this morning.

Upon completion of the review, Barbados will be able to draw down another $BDS98 million(US$49 million), bringing the total disbursement to SDR 70 million.
