Antigua and Barbuda Still Pursuing Visa Free Access to Canada

Antigua and Barbuda  continues to engage the Canadian Government  with regards to restoring visa free access for it’s citizens to travel to that North American country.

The country’s Foreign Affairs, Trade and Immigration Minister,  EP Chet Greene in making the disclosure also stated  that  the government is seeking to simplify the visa application process.

“I can assure the public, that we as a government will continue to engage the Canadian Authorities with respect to the privileges to Antigua and Barbuda passport holders,” Mr. Greene said

The Antigua and Barbuda Government Minister pointed out that it is the norm for countries to remove visa free access from time to time.

In June 2017, the Canadian Government revoked visa free travel privilege for Antigua and Barbuda passport holders, expressing concerns over the integrity of the country’s Citizen By Investment Programme  (CIP).
