Antigua and Barbuda continues to engage the Canadian Government with regards to restoring visa free access for it’s citizens to travel to that North American country.
The country’s Foreign Affairs, Trade and Immigration Minister, EP Chet Greene in making the disclosure also stated that the government is seeking to simplify the visa application process.
“I can assure the public, that we as a government will continue to engage the Canadian Authorities with respect to the privileges to Antigua and Barbuda passport holders,” Mr. Greene said
The Antigua and Barbuda Government Minister pointed out that it is the norm for countries to remove visa free access from time to time.
In June 2017, the Canadian Government revoked visa free travel privilege for Antigua and Barbuda passport holders, expressing concerns over the integrity of the country’s Citizen By Investment Programme (CIP).
